Halloween (the John Carpenter one) is one of my favorite thrillers (no, not horror) of all time. It was a film that focused more on the suspense of the situation rather than the aftermath of it. It was subdued but yet understood the right buttons to push to achieve the desired effect.

I was an avid reader of John Grisham during my teenage years.
